Loved it beyond words! We had book club last night and out of the 15 women in our group, EVERYONE loved it. That never happens- we always have a few that disagree with the popular opinion, but we all just died over it.
Oh my gosh, I just can't stop thinking about it. It was divine and I will DEFINATELY read the rest of the series.
So we had a discussion about who would play what part if there was a movie made and here's what we came up with-
Mary- Scarlet Johansson
Anne- Catherine Zeta Jones (she's used to being with gross old men!)
Henry- Philip Seymor Hoffman
George- Ruppert Everett
William- Colin Firth (of course, he HAS to be the hero in every movie in my opinion)
Okay, so now we just need to have the movie made and I'm there with bells on!
I was sitting here at my desk and Scarlet came up to me with a pack of LifeSavers. She asked me to open them for her, so I did. She then jumped up and put her arms around my neck and gave me the biggest hug while saying, "You're nice, Mom. You're so nice."
I've been cooking. Nothing grand, but one of my goals lately has been to cook more and you know what? I've actually been doing it. Shocker.
I have to admit, it's not something I actually enjoy doing. I like thinking about the menu and even shopping for ingredients, but the cooking and the cleaning up... not so fun.
I also don't enjoy a meal as much if I've cooked it. I don't know why. Maybe it's because I've been tasting it as I go along or something. I don't know.
Anyway, I've been cooking more and my new find to help me in this goal is Everyday Food. LOVE it.
My fab meal tonight was Tostadas Salsa Verde. Yum! I also had Mexican Rice with it that was delicious too, but I can't take credit for that... it was Rice-A-Roni! I gotta say though, I love me some Rice-er-oni! Classy, huh?!
Okay, so that's dinner for ya. It's all cleaned up... the kids are about to go to bed... I'll scrap some more.
