Okay, so we all met at Trader Joe's and bought our dinners. (I LOVE Trader Joe's prepared food... delish!) We then carpooled down to Hollywood and drove to the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
It is a huge Hollywood tradition to show outdoor movies here every summer. How CREEPY is that? HERE'S THE LINK
The movie for the night was Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo... a total favorite of mine!
So, all that sounds like fun and it was................ until we got there and it was already filled to capacity! What a HUGE bummer!
Well, we made the most of it and headed out to an AMAZING restaurant in Hollywood called Lawry's. Oh my gosh... it was incredible!!! I'm not normally a red meat eater when we go out. I usually stick to seafood and I NEVER have the prime rib (it always looks so big and gross and fatty), but while at Lawry's you have to have the prime rib, so I did and it was the most delicious meal I've ever tasted! In fact, it's like 5 days later and I'm still thinking about it and the creamed corn!
So, it wasn't the date we planned on, but it was still a blast. We will be returning to one of the next movies though...
Have I ever shown you Chandler's Halloween costume from a few years ago? He went as a skeleton pirate from Pirates of the Caribbean. It has been one of my very favorite costumes ever! If I do say so myself... and I do! lol
Okay, so this may look kind of like a lot to you, but it's really not. In fact, it all fits in my bag and in our stroller.
I'll give you a quick tip though... my stroller bag has detachable handles, so I unclip them and then reclip them through the stroller handle, so it hangs right in front of me while I walk. This bag never comes off of the stroller, so I don't leave anything too expensive in it. I wear my camera bag on all the rides and in that I have my money, phone and credit cards.
This system works well for us because I never have to worry about what to bring into the restaurant or onto the rides... I just grab my camera bag. Dan is in charge of the video camera bag and that goes on all the rides and in the restaurants with us too.
Anyway, I was just putting this list away and thought... maybe some of you guys might be interested in it...
