One of my very favorite shirts. Why? Well, it's adorable, of course-- and who doesn't love a cupcake shirt?!?! But the main reason is, if you look carefully, the cupcakes have a day of the week under each one. Meaning, personalized WEDNESDAY attire!!!
So I have come to realize that adding almost anything to a cellophane bag makes it more fantastic!
On Friday night I made a quick run to Party City and picked up some party hats, poppers, confetti, noise makers and candy for our family New Year's Eve party.
I then divided all the items into bags, added a folded piece of paper to the top of the bag, and a party kit was made!
The kids thought it was fantastic and I didn't have to hear, "She used more confetti than me", or "I didn't get as many poppers as him" or all the other ridiculousness that I usually hear when the kids are asked to share things like this.
I will definitely be doing this again-- remind me not to head out to Party City on New Year's Eve next time though!!! Yikes!!!
Again... add anything to a bag and it turns to magic! :)
So what do you do when you didn't get your friend a Christmas gift???
Deliver a New Year's Eve gift to her and her family to help them welcome in the new year!!!
This was a fun parcel to put together and all it took was a little shopping and a little craftiness.
1- First, I didn't have time to make cupcakes, so I headed to our local cupcake store (don't use grocery store cupcakes unless you have tried them before know they are delish) and bought a dozen cupcakes with a black and white color scheme.
2- I then headed to Trader Joe's for some of their French Lemonades.
3- I then visited here for the cupcake toppers and here for the bottle tags. I printed them out and then cut them out. I added the circles to a toothpick (one on each side) and then added them to the tops of the cupcakes.
4- Next I added the bottle tags to the bottles and added a bow.
5- To finish it off, I added one of the print outs from above to the top of the box. Easy and fun!!!
