Crazy Date Night!!!

Okay, so in about an hour Dan and I and 4 other couples (Dalands, Sherwoods, Muirs & Bergsmas)are going on the craziest group date I think I've ever been on!

Have I Told You How Much I LOVE My Friends?

So, you know this little Disney cruise we're going on?  Well, over breakfast one morning with the girls, one of my friends, Julia (hi, Julia), mentioned that she'd seen on my blog that we were going on the cruise.  I started telling everyone about it and before you knew it, everyone started saying how they wanted to go too.  I said, "YOU HAVE TO COME!!!"... honestly thinking that no one would ever do it because thats just a crazy dream to have all of my friends and my family together on a fab cruise. 

Well, I have to say (with a HUGE lump in my throat) that now going on that very cruise are TEN of my closest friends and their families!!!!

Words can't express how excited I am.  Most of my friends, most of Dan's friends, mostly all of my children's friends and my wonderful parents on a cruise?!?!?

Super Bowl Party!

Our super fun friends, the Muirs, invited us to their beach house for Super Bowl Sunday.  We had SOOOOO much fun and I swear, I have NEVER seen so much delicious food all in one place before!  I can't describe the food hangover I had this morning... I'm surprised my head left the pillow!  Above are some pics from the party, but I'm also going to post some of the beach pics I took of the ones that didn't care too much about the game! lol

By the way, we have a fun family tradition that we brought to the party.  Every year, Dan makes up a sheet of questions about the game and everyone in attendance has to fill out the sheets and then a winner is declared at the end of the game.  I think he initially did it to keep me interested in the game, but now we've done it for so many years that it's a Super Bowl MUST!  The questions are things like:  Who wins the coin toss?  What will be the half time score?  What company will have the first commercial?  What position will score first?  and LOTS more.  It's a great way to keep non football enthusiasts involved in the game and the kids LOVE it!!!  So in the pics above, that's why you see Dan with a stack of papers in his hand.  Last night out of 34 people, my Patrick took 1st place!  He was quite proud!

• We attended the most BEAUTIFUL birthday party for Scarlet's little friend, Kaylee.

• This dress was fun, but a little challenging to make.  I like how it turned out though!

• We got together with a group of friends last Saturday night and played The Werewolves of Miller Hollow .

  Okay you guys... you HAVE to believe me when I say THIS IS THE GREATEST GAME EVER!!!  I'm not kidding... I've played it once and I'm obsessed!  Not only am I obsessed though, EVERYONE (6 couples) who played the game that night it obsessed with it.  So much so that we are meeting again on Friday night to play it again because we just can't get it out of our heads.  This time we are adding about 3 or 4 more couples to make it even better.  I'm not going to explain what the game is about because it would sound way too lame, but believe me when I say it is OUTSTANDING.  It's not a card game or a dice game or a board game... it's something completely different than I've ever played or even heard of before.  I suppose the only downside to it is that you need a lot of players to make it great.  We played with 12 people last week, but the perfect amount of people would be about 18 people.  That's kind of a lot to fit around a table, but where there's a will there's a way!  :)  I will definitely take pictures of it Friday night and post them soon after.  GO OUT AND GET THIS GAME!

• I joined a way fun CANDY SWAP!  Here's what I sent out:
• The theme of this swap was regional candy.  I live in Southern California and I don't think we're really known for our candy... diet pills and plastic surgery maybe.   In fact, I would dare guess that most women here have never put a  piece of candy in their mouths! :) 

Okay, so what did I do then?  Well, the gal I was sending candy to lives in Canada and I noticed that Canada doesn't have See's Candy, so I just gathered some goodies from See's.  Love See's... don't you?  I sent her a few of the bars (including my fav... the Scotchmallow Bar) and a box of the pops.  Hope she likes them! 

I can't wait to get my goodies!
