I sewed this dress for Scarlet last year and was so sad that Halloween was over because she couldn't wear it anymore. Well, when I found out we were having Wednesday Jones, I KNEW another Halloween frock had to be made. This is what I came up with. I'm in love!
I am SO excited for Keiran's first Halloween! I think I know what he's going to be, but I'm still working it out in my mind a little. It kind of depends on what Miss Scarlet wants to be because I want them to be a duo. We'll see...
I LOVE this day! It was so fun surprising the kids with a festive breakfast and gifties too. Dan was darling and brought home the giant bat balloon from the store... how cute is that?! After a delicious blueberry pancake breakfast, we headed to the family room for an early morning dance. We rocked out to Monster Mash, Time Warp and tons of other spooky tunes. Scarlet's moves have definitley improved since last year's dance... she was ADORABLE!
Scarlet's 1st Day of October Ensemble
We started off October with a bang! I love her tights with her black Converse high tops!
The after school picnic was postponed until tomorrow because Patrick came home from school quite ill. :(
Family Home Evening
This is such a GREAT scary kid's movie! It is really scary, but on a kid's level. My boys LOVED it, but Scarlet was quite scared. Not scared enough to leave the room though! lol It was written by Ronald Dahl and is about witches and little children who are turned into mice. It's a must see... especially at this time of year!
So... when we were at Disney World this summer I saw this fab tank top and KNEW that I had to make a dress for Scarlet out of it. The only problem was that it was a women's tank and it didn't come in children's sizes. I bought it anyway and figured I could do something with it, even if I had to cut the design out of it and add it to one of her shirts. So, a few weeks ago when I got out the tank to figure out what to sew, I had Scarlet try it on and it fit!!! How sick is that? My 4 year old fits into a womens size small tank??!?!?! I can't imagine what woman would want to fit into a tank that my 4 year old could wear. Oh well... what do I know? lol
We had such fun when Scarlet wore this dress! She wore it to Disneyland once and then around town a few times. I never realized how many people loved Jack Skellington too! FUN!!!
