My Halloween party is in 2 days!!!
I"m slightly behind... shocked? lol
SO... last night I made the napkins and I love how they turned out. I did something similar last year, but only made 16 of them. This year I have 24 people coming so I had to make 8 more.
I decided to sew and iron and fold and decorate them all last night, so I'd have one less thing to do on Friday. It was FUN! Here they are all together:
So here's how to make them and where I got all the supplies-
Supplies:
I bought pre-made white napkins from Linens and Things. They were in a 6 pack for $14.
The ball trim is from Joann's. It is around $3 a yard, but use one of your coupons and it will save you a bunch! I used orange and black ball trim.
The purple tulle is from my favorite tulle source, Paper Mart. I used less than one roll for 24 of them and a roll is $1.75.
The eyes are actually like ring pops... GROSS! lol I bought them from Target. They are called Bloodshot Vampire Eyes Candy Suckers. They come in a 6 pack for $1.99.
Directions:
Decide the length of ball trim you'll need for each napkin and cut accordingly.
Pin the ball trim to the lower edge of the napkin, so the trim hangs off slightly. Remember, the more pins you use, the straighter and better your trim will be when sewed on.
I used black thread for my top thread and white thread for my bobbin thread and sewed the ball trim on using a zig zag stitch.
Fold you napkin in half widthwise. Then fold the napkin in a fan like way and tie in the middle with tulle.
Attach the eyeball ring to the bow.
So the napkins are done. Now for the tablecloths, runners, and grocery shopping! UGH!
