Oh, this photo craft makes me SO happy!!! I've been meaning to do something like it for so long, but just haven't found the time (even though I've had the racks since Halloween!!!). So last week, I just started printing out my FAVORITE St. Patrick's Day pics and also ones where we are wearing green and I just went for it!
The little rack can be bought HERE for about $28. Not too bad when you consider how much decorating you'll get out of it. Imagine it for Fourth of July, Halloween and Christmas! SO DANG CUTE! I can't wait to just put together all of our favorite beach shots! Such possibilities!
So, while it's probably pretty self explanatory, here are some directions--
1. The rack comes with 25 little clips, so cut out 50 (so they are double sided) 2.5 X 3.5 rectangles of different papers. I used a random collection of printed cardstock mixed with plain cardstock.
2. Then I taped one piece of paper to the other to make 25 rectangles. I know a lot of paper is double sided, but I like the sturdiness of the back to back paper.
3. Now print out between 25- 50 of your fav photos. I think I printed about 37 because I wanted the backs of some of my rectangles to be plain, so I could decorate them. Before printing- don't forget to set your photo size to a smaller setting. I printed mine out at 2.5 x 3.5.
4. Adhere the photos to your rectangles. I covered the whole rectangle with a photo sometimes and other times I just used a tiny pic. A variety looks best though!
5. Now for the fun- decorating!!! Grab EVERY scrapbook add on that you have that is springy and green and Irish and GO FOR IT!!! Don't forget to decorate both sides!
6. After all my rectangles were done, I ran ink around all the edges on both sides. This is totally up to your personal taste though. For some reason when I see a photo rectangle, I want to ink up the sides! lol
7. Now for the shamrocks- I just bought about 5 from Michael's and painted them green and sanded the edges. I drilled a hole in the top and threaded them with wire and hung them from the racks.
That's it!
Not too hard, huh?
I'm so excited for this ongoing project!!! Next stop.... EASTER!!!
