This year was a very robot-y Valentine's Day.
Miss Scarlet handed out these Pixie Stix wands to her class:
And our sweet Keiran handed these out to his classmates:
It's hard to see in the pic, but I made little robots out of a juicebox and candy.
KK thought they were pretty neat.
Even my 8th grader, Chandler, got in on the robot love!

Scarlet was so proud to take her Valentines to school this year. We worked really hard on them and they turned out so cute! Scarlet made all the paper and die cut choices and I did all the folding and glueing. We were a great team!
Wanna know how we made them?
Here you go!
1. Start off with 1 sheet of 12x12 paper. I used a K&CO Valentine pad with die cuts from Michaels.
2. Cut 2 and a half strips of paper- 3 inches wide.
3. Accordion fold all 3 strips of paper.
4-6. Using strong tape, adhere the 3 pieces together into a long strip.
7. Adhere both ends of the long strip together forming a circle.
8. The circle will pop up into a cup like shape. (It's annoying!)
9. Using a glue gun, adhere a glittered heart to the front of the paper ring.
10. Using a glue gun, adhere the paper from the Giant Pixie Stick to the back of the paper ring.
11. Stick a large die cut over the paper from the Giant Pixie Stick.
12. Add a die cut to the glittery heart on front.
13. Tie a bow below the paper ring and use a drop of glue to hold it in place.

Okay, how cute is this? These will be my kids Valentines to their classmates this year... fun!
Directions:
1. Take a red or pink sand shovel (I bought mine at iParty) and either write I DIG YOU with a white pen on it or use RUB-ONS.
2. Then attach a candy filled bag with ribbon to the shovel. Although the curling ribbon is cute, I'm planning on using a fabric ribbon on all of mine... I'll show you when I find the one I want. Also, I think I'll use a patterned candy bag... again, I'll show you when I decide. (Geez, you'd think I was designing a room for the White House! lol)

, new pajamas, 2 cards hidden throughout the house for me to find and my 2 favorite mini desserts hidden in the fridge (creme brulee and chocolate raspberry torte)... one for lunch and one for dinner! He also bought Patrick a new fabulous soccer ball
and gave Scarlet and Chandler Build-A-Bear gift certificates. Sooooooo sweet! He's lovely.
Okay, so I'm exhausted. What time did I go to bed last night? I didn't. :( I just had sooooooooo much to do and it had to be done by today, so I just kept going and before I knew it it was 6am and I had to get the kids up in half an hour, so I figured why bother?!
So what did I do all night long? I was up to my eyeballs in candy, ribbon, gift bags, cards, tulle and patterned paper. Gift bags for Scarlet's class... gift bags for Chandler's class... teacher gifts... Dan's gifts... custom Valentine cds... holy Valentine!
I made the yummiest breakfast this morning... very Valentiney. Baked french toast with strawberries and whipped cream and Strawberry juice to drink. SO delicious and SUPER easy to make.
I need to cook breakfast more... eggo waffles, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Pop Tarts just aren't making me feel like mother of the year.
So I bought my first ever digi kit the other day from Heather Ann Melzer and I made the CUTEST Valentines for my gifts and for Scarlet's class. I'm definately not converting over to digi scrapbooking, but I'm for sure going to start buying all the tag and card kits... they're amazing!!! Heather is one talented chick... her creativity blows my mind. Here are two of the cards I made:
Dan and I on our wedding day 13 years ago... I thought it would be fun to make a tag using an old, romantic pic of us. I think it turned out very sweet.
Scarlet gave these to each of her classmates. LOVE these cards!
